As of the 5th July I am a fully qualified engineer, with a BEng (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Aberdeen, graduation with an upper second!
The next chapter of my life has already begun, I started full-time work in early June, and am getting acquainted with the current company. I am very excited for this next chapter, I’ll learn a hell of a lot, and produce some quality products during my time here!
I flew up late on the day before, arriving at midnight in Aberdeen (thanks EasyJet). Then a day full of meeting up with friends, and enjoying Aberdeen, culminating in the Graduation starting at 6:30 at P&J live.
My sister came up special for the occasion, all the way from Cambridge, and we managed to even get in some quality brother-sister time.
And just like that, it was over. Waking up at 4am certainly shattered the idyllic bliss I was in, although watching the sunrise on the flight down was truly special, as all Aberdeen sunrises are tbh.
Watch this space for the next steps from me.
