Happy Hogmanay! Happy New Year! Guten Rutsch ins Neue Jahr! Welcome to 2025, hope everyone has recovered from their hangovers by now. I’m in Germany for the New Year and went on the customary New Years Day Walk, and after 4 days of fog and no visibility the sun finally managed to come through and burn it away. We were left with the frost on the trees melting, and creating gorgeous scenes!
The walk is a small 6km loop along the old railway line and through the fields, it even goes past some small lakes, all made spectacularly pretty with the frost in the trees and snow lying around.
Of course the beauty of the frost didn’t last and by the afternoon large parts of it were already gone, but the few close up shots I took were beautiful!
