When the heavens align and the Sun shines in Aberdeenshire I like to try walk up hills, the most recent of which was a trip to Bennachie in mid January. Normally I’d use the back of Bennachie car park and route but as it’s closed for Forestry I had to actually go up the steep side
The last time I went up this way I didn’t even make it out of the tree section before my knees decided to give up, proud to say a year or so later I did make it past the treeline, and all the way up,
See, told you I made it up! And once we were back down we went to get coffee at the old post office and then headed home for a well deserved nap
